Head swimming
Right now, we are in the phase of being inundated with congratulations. I brought in doughnuts and muffins today, and blasted an email to everyone in the Milwaukee office. Friends and relatives have been reached, and collective frenzy is setting in.
But in the background, the list of things to do is materializing. Fortunately, many of these things can be facilitated through the extended network of friends and relatives. The crib and changing table are coming from my cousin Greg and his wife Sally (thanks guys). Baby clothes also are coming from the extended network (kids doesn't have much of a chance to wear out any one garment until they start abusing their clothes in a few years). Things like a car seat and other essentials we will have to purchase, but many other things will take care of themselves.
We will meet Faith for the first time tonight.
