Another meeting, registries, other thoughts

Met again tonight with the various parties involved with the adoption. We all took turns holding Faith -- who was awake this time so we got to see her eyes. Very alert, attentive baby. She really put on a show for us, too -- making faces and noises that had their own unique comic value.

At dinner after the meeting, Carla expressed how anxious she was to get Faith home. It will not be that long, but still for her in particular, it may seem like an eternity. I look forward to getting the baby home as well, but there is still I think a difference between cats and dogs, and I suspect Carla feels things differently than I do when it comes to this whole process.

Anyway, yes my sisters are throwing us a shower, and yes we are registered at Babies R Us
and Target. We have obtained the absolute essentials for the first few nights, and are getting a bunch of stuff including baby furniture (thanks again Greg and Sally) from friends and relatives. Shower gifts will, however, be put to immediate and good use!
