Faith's First Fish(es)

So we finally had a weekend where not much was going on and we could just hang around the house. One of the things we made sure to do was walk down to the dock with the kid, bundle her into her lifejacket and allow her to participate in the catching of her first fish.

The fish normally available off of our pier are rather small, but fortunately extremely credulous. In about a matter of minutes, Faith had witnessed the fish catching process a half a dozen times, and even held the rod while a bluegill gave a good account of itself.

The main challenge was getting Faith off the dock. She kept on saying "More fish," and using the baby sign language gesture for "more."

So her education -- the important part anyway -- has begun ...
