Very, very big day. Really.

From the time Faith has been placed in our home, it has been 10 months. So it is about time we finalize this adoption and give the girl a proper last name. And that is just what happened today. Our court date came up, and the Hon. Mary Triggiano put some official-sounding questions to us and to our social worker from LCFS. Then we were handed a pronouncement of the adoption, and Faith got a Teddy bear and a Harley-Davidson T-shirt that may even still be large enough for her (for a week or so).

Here we are with the judge, whom Faith seems rather in awe of. Hopefully this is an indication that Faith will pursue a career in law ...
